The Iowa Abortion Access Fund provides confidential financial assistance for abortion care and can help connect you with additional support resources. We believe everyone deserves the ability to make decisions about their own body, family, and future—regardless of income, zip code, or circumstance.

How to Get Help

The process is simple.

  1. Schedule an appointment with an abortion provider.
  2. Tell the clinic you may need financial assistance.
  3. Complete our intake process or follow the clinic’s referral instructions.

We proudly partner with Chicago Abortion Fund, please fill out this intake form and someone will be in touch with you within 24 hours.

Currently, Iowa houses two clinics within the state: Emma Goldman Center and Planned Parenthood of Des Moines.

Abortion costs can include more than the procedure itself. Travel, lodging, childcare, time away from work, and transportation can create additional barriers.

You still have a legal right to have an abortion. We understand that abortion laws are changing rapidly. Within Iowa we are limited to a six week ban. You have a right to travel, you have a right to ask questions and you have a right to seek an abortion outside of the state, if necessary.
